Clarence, Anil and Anesley have been house-hold names in the 1970s Sri Lankan pop scene. Clarence led the western music to suit Sri Lankan audience thus forming his band Golden Chimes back in 1970 in which Anil was a member.
Anil Bharathi was so popular with 'Ma Adarey nangi' track along with 'Tikiri Mali', 'Ada wey irudina' and 'Sandai Tharui'.
'Ma adrey nangi' has been one of my favourite tracks and this is my recording from the radio back in the school days.
